• Where are you located?

• What is the price?
Our prices depend on your age, amount of lessons (volume discount) and if you'd like to add the flexibility-add on. Under every lesson package article on our website you'll find the price. You can also get an overview from this chart.
• How do I apply?
You can easily apply through our website - it operates just like a webshop.
Choose: city > instrument > amount of lessons. Then proceed to 'Checkout' by pressing 'Book' and choose the prefered payment method. If you'd like to pay on a monthly basis - choose 'Monthly payment' through Svea Webpay - select the desired payment plan (3, 6, 12 or 24 months).
• Can I order a trial lesson?
The smallest amount of lessons we offer is our five lesson package (our "trial"-package).
• Are there any age limits?
The music voucher system of the municipality of Staffanstorp imposes age limits (ages 7-19). All of our other lessons are open for all ages, in as far as we believe the student will be able to benefit from the sessions.
• How long is a lesson?
40 minutes except for children ages 13 or younger how have lessons at Rockskolan, their lessons are 30 minutes long (and the price is reduced).
• I'd like to give my friend some lessons for his/her birthday/Christmas. How do I order?
You make an order as usual (see above). During checkout you'll need to enter information about your friend - age, experience, music taste etc. Don't worry if you don't know every detail - when it's time to book the lessons our booking team will ask your friend further questions.
In the message box you'll need to submitt information on whether it's a suprise, Christmas gift our such and if you therefore would like us to wait before contacting the recipient.
When you've made your order our booking team will contact you, the person liable for payment, to discusse if you'd like for us to contact your friend right away or if you'll give them the order number and they'll contact us themselves to book the lessons.
Another alternative is to order a gift card. If you select payment by credit card you'll recieve the gift card code instantly by e-mail. If you choose anyother payment method we'll have to await you payment before sendning you the gift card code.
• Can I make a reservation for a lesson time before I order a lesson package?
When ordering you'll submitt the desired lesson times - please submitt as many as possible for a quicker booking process. When our booking team gets your order they'll contact you to ask any further questions and thereafter they'll match you the teacher they'll find most suitable for you based on your needs, music taste and prefered lessons time and other. However we cannot start this process before we have recieved an actual order and payment.
• Which teacher will I get?
We'll match you with the teacher we think will be best for you personal development based on the information you've submitted about yourself, your needs, music taste and prefered lesson times etc. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your teacher - please tell us and we'll match you with another teacher.
• Do I need to have my own instrument?
We recommend that you have your own instrument at home for practise inbetween lessons. By practising you'll maximize the effect of your lessons. If you are a beginner you often don't need the most advanced or priciest instrument to start off with - buying a new instrument later on is often a good way to reward once achievements. If you need help before buying your first instrument - please ask our customer service for advice or even you teacher during your first lesson.
If you are to take bass-/guitar lessons we recommend you bring your own instrument to the lessons as well.
• I can only have lessons om ---days and ---days. Do you have avaliable time for me?
When we have recieved your order we'll match you with the teacher that is most suitable for you based on the information you've submitted about yourself, your needs, music taste and prefered lesson times. During the booking process we'll send you suggestions, based on the prefered lesson times until we can agree upon a suitable time. However we cannot start this process before we have recieved an actual order and payment.
• Can I schedule the lesson every other week?
If you choose our Flexibility-add on we can schedule the lessons for every other week. The Flex-add on can be combined with all packages at Rockskolan. The standard/default arrangement is one lesson per week on a fixed lesson time except for school holidays and public holidays.
• I have an irregular schedule. Can I book the lessons as I go?
If you choose our Flexibility-add on we can schedule the lessons based on you life. I'll start of by booking a fixed lesson time (just to have reference point) - you are free to reschedule you lessons when you get you schedule for the coming weeks - at the latest 72h before your lesson. It is possible to combine the Flexibilty-add on with all packages at Rockskolan. With out the Flex-add on our lessons are schueled once a week on a fixed time except for school holidays and public holidays.
• Can I have lessons on weekends?
Our lessons are usually conducted Mon-Fri 15.00-21.00.
• I've read that you offer courses for 1200 SEK per semester. How do I apply for these?
Some municiplities in Sweden have decided to introduce a "music voucher"-system (like school voucher/skolpeng) and thereby letting the youth of the municiplaity choose which after school music educator to go to (from a selection of municipaly authorized private educators). In the municipality of Staffanstorp children and young adults can choose Rockskolan instead of the municipal music school for the same fee. The application is done through the municipal home page - you can find likes for the courses here. Note that in order to apply you need to be between 7 and 19 years of age and be registered in Staffanstorp (folkbokförd). You can apply for up to two courses per semester.
• How do I report sickness/abscence?
It’s important to e-mail or text your teacher (see contact info in your booking confirmation), plus to email bokning@rockskolan.com to be able to make up for missed lessons.
I you have lessons at Rockskolan you have a certain amount of lessons that can be rescheuled if you tell us in reasonable time (through above mentioned ways of contact) that you won't be able to miss your lesson due to sickness or other reasons. Amount of lessons that can be reschueled: five lesson package - one lesson, fifteen lesson package - two lessons, thirty lesson package - three lessons. If you don't give notice of illness/abscence your lesson expires.
If you have the Flex-add on, you can cancel and reschedule all of you lessons (one time per lesson). Please not that we need you to contact us beforehand through above mentioned ways of contact in due time. If you don't give notice of illness/abscence your lesson expires.
If you attend lesson through the municipal music voucher system in Staffanstorp you can not cancel and reschedule your lessons. However we need you to contact us if you are sick otherwise you stand the chance of losing you place.
• When do the lessons start after the break?
Information about the start date of the semsters and such can be found here.
Generally you'll keep the lesson time you had the previous semester that is unless you have been contacted by our booking team to make changes to you existing lesson time. Has you school/work schedule changed and is it in conflict with your Rockskolan-lessons? Please contact us in due time and we'll find you a new lesson time.
• What happens to my lessons when there is a break for for school/public holidays?
Your lessons are paused and restarted after the holiday - same lesson time as before the holiday. No lessons will be lost. When we present you with a preliminary end date for your lessons we have taken the holidays into account.
• My lesson package is about to end. What do I do in order to keep the same lesson time/ teacher?
If we recieve a new order from you (through our webshop about one week before your last lesson) you'll keep your existing time. A couple of weeks before your last lesson our booking team will contact you to remind you that you package is about to end. In connection to this you'll also be asked to fill out an evaluation form - by submitting this we'll present you with a 15 percent discount on our most cost-effective package (thirty lessons).
• Do I need to give notice if I do not wish to continue with classes after my current package?
If you are attending lessons through the municipal music voucher system in Staffanstorp you have to give notice two months in advance. Other students do not need to give notice - if you don't purchase further lessons you lesson time will simply be given to someone else.
