You are the one who decides the direction - and we are here to help! Music production starts with an idea and ends with a production. On that path, there is a lot to go through depending on how far along the idea is. In music production, songs can also change character, which means that it overlaps with songwriting.

Much of what we do is based on your ideas, e.g. lyrics or melodies or perhaps your vision of a certain sound - and to make it sound the way you want. We do this by learning how to use so-called "sequencers" in the right way. Maybe you've come across music production in Garage Band or some other program where you worked with layering different sounds, voices and instruments, almost as if you had a backing band that you could order in different ways?

We structure the ideas together and turn them into your finished songs by learning to program the instruments you might not want to play yourself, and by recording others. It doesn't have to be you who plays the instruments and it doesn't have to be you who sings - The main thing is that you learn how to put the different sounds together.

Electronic, acoustic, rock, hip-hop - as soon as you want to record or change music, you will benefit from learning what is done in "music production".

Good to know before enrolling

Private lessons

Private lessons of 30 minutes is a Rockskolan standard (for students ages 13 and younger), which means that you will have all the attention for yourself and that the lessons are completely customized for you, your speed and your musical goals. Private lessons is the most efficient way to go for you as an individual instrumentalist.

Individually adjusted start

We apply rolling admission and flexible start dates - this means that you can begin you bundle thru out the autumn or spring semester. During summer your lessons will be paused and you'll continue again in autumn.

Schedule

As soon as your purchase is confirmed and we have received your application, you will be contacted by our booking team to schedule your lessons on a fixed spot in our weekly schedule which ranges from monday to friday 16.00-21.00.

Flexibility

The weekly lessons take place on a fixed time. You can only reschedule a certain number of lessons, depending on the size of your lesson bundle. If you want more freedom to be able to change the time or postpone next weeks lesson you might add the flexibility option. This is perfect if you have an irregular schedule or if you just want a "rock n roll lifestyle".

Instrument

You need an instrument for practicing even if you, mostly, are able to use our instruments when you are here during lessons.
