About Rockskolan Lund...

Rockskolan is located at Kiliansgatan 12, right next to Mårtenstorget (parking area).
We work closely with our neighbours at Hemgården, located by the City Theatre just a stone’s throw from the specialised music programme at Spyken upper secondary school, where many of our students have studied.

Rockskolan Lund is the first school of Rockskolan Sverige, the model with which it all began. We started in 2004 as an experiment within a booking agency that was booking european tours with interntional metal bands - and artists. The network of musicians, artists and music teachers proved a very useful resource once we realized that there was a big need for easily accessible music education with a focus on the interests, music taste and goals of the students. The response was unexpectedly warm and we soon opened up branches in Gothenburg, Stockholm 2009, Malmö 2010 and Staffanstorp in 2013.

Ever since the start we have had the pleasure to meet very well motivated future musicians. We are also cooperating with The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London which is a natural destination for those of our students who choose to study music at university level, and we are a part of an international network of music schools that means a great variety of opportunities for our students.

Lund Municipality Vouchers for young students

Starting in 2023 we are accepting a limited number of students from Lund Municipality within the so called "Musikchecken" or "Music Voucher" which is a way for the municipality to offer almost free music educatiuon to young inhabitants. Read more here.

We hope that you will feel very welcome and that you will find your time with us inspiring!
