About the Band Program

The band course focuses on quickly getting started and playing well-known songs together, where you can contribute with your instrument or with your voice, eventually playing live.

It's an ideal introduction to playing in a band for those who are comfortable with their instrument but would like to learn to play together with others or apply what they've learned on their instrument.

During this 5-session course, you will start a cover band that rehearses a few songs together with guidance from an experienced musician.

You will be given tasks to develop your skills and ideas outside of lesson time, as it is a short course.

About you

To get the most out of this program, you need to have basic knowledge of your instrument. This can be guitar, bass, drums, vocals, or piano. However, you don’t need to have extensive knowledge of music theory or have prior experience playing in bands. The program is for participants aged 18+.

Testimonials

"I stepped out of my comfort zone and dared to play a riff from one of my own songs that I had been working on for a while. The band responded immediately, and we could feel the energy shift in the room and we found ourselves having an incredible jam session. From that point on, as we gained trust in each other and realized it was a safe space creatively, everyone started opening up. We discovered that each of us had original material to bring, even though it came from very different genres. People found the courage to share their songs with the group, and we ended up working on a blues song, a heavy metal track, and a psychedelic alternative song that we recorded at the end of the program."

- Bogdan, Band Program participant in Malmö, 2025.
